I have no idea if this is acceptable or not. Oppo, please help.

Nope. That’s not a factory part, is it?

I wouldn’t accept it.

Nope but non factory repro panels are often garbage. We got a new front wing that was so badly misshapen we sent it back and bought one secondhand off a junk car.

Nope, the factory ones are hard to find. That is a $100 panel.

I work at a stamper. Wrinkles can be signs of shitty draw forming in the die. If thats a pinch seam or weld at the top, it’s permanent. And likely root cause. Bondo city. If thats exterior, it will never look right. If its a filler/wheel well liner type thing you will never notice. Only your hairdresser (and you) will know the truth.

It’s a front wheel arch.

Yikes. I would register a complaint. That’s shitty workmanship. You probably wont get it 100% from aftermarket, but they can surely do way better than that.

I wrote them yesterday to ask if it was normal. I am waiting for three more wheel arches from them, so we’ll have to wait and see what they look like. I may be sending them all back.
Funny thing is - I wasn’t going cheap. I could have bought some $45 panels, but decided to go with the (assumed) nicer ones.

When they bend the metal it’s usually stretched in that type of shape and maintains the smooth finish. It looks like they pinch the top of it and they either are doing it in sections or are not maintaining pressure on the arch to keep it taught. The radius isn’t enough that the form should have caused the issue.
